'Hands to Myself' singer Selena Gomez is celebrating her 28th birthday in a very charitable way! To honor her big day, Gomez announced that through her company RARE Beauty: she would be launching the Rare Impact Fund which will "help address the gaps in mental health services for underserved communities." The Rare Impact Fund is looking to generate $100 million over the next decade to facilitate access to mental health resources by "cultivating partnerships with leading foundations, nonprofits organizations, and companies to make a measurable global impact." One percent of all sales from Rare Beauty's products have been going to the fund since Selena launched the brand. The star says in a statement about the initiative: "The mere fact there are ‘underserved’ communities is a problem. There are people that don’t have proper access to the internet to begin to find help, let alone being able to afford resources or the price of any medications that might be needed. Everyone should have access to proper mental health resources as well as medical care in general."
