Joy Behar is spilling the beans about her hilarious email gaffe post-2024 Oscars extravaganza!
The 81-year-old dynamo from The View got all jazzed up about Jimmy Kimmel’s masterful hosting skills during the awards shindig. She particularly dug his dig at Donald Trump’s online antics. So what’s a fan to do? Shoot off a congratulatory email, of course!
But, oh, the twists and turns of modern technology! Joy confessed on Tuesday’s (March 12) episode of The View that she committed a classic blunder: she sent her electronic love letter to the wrong Jimmy!
“I thought Jimmy Kimmel’s zinger about ‘Isn’t it past your jail time’ was pure gold, and seeing Trump squirm on his Truth Social playground was the cherry on top. So, being the supportive pal I am, I decided to shoot Jimmy a note to pat him on the back for sticking it to that fascist with a punchline, because, you know, comedians are the true heroes,” Joy shared, according to Deadline.
“But, whoops-a-daisy, I accidentally hit send to Jimmy Fallon,” she confessed. Fallon, sadly, didn’t grace her with a response…
Whoopi Goldberg, ever the voice of reason, chimed in with solidarity, “I don’t think there’s anybody sitting at this table who has never sent the wrong email to the wrong person.”
To which Joy, in her trademark wit, quipped back, “I’m so technologically inept, I’m shocked I didn’t accidentally fire off my kudos to another famous Jimmy, like Jimmy Carter!”
