32-year-old ‘I Love You, Beth Cooper’ actress Hayden Panettiere is opening up about her past addiction to both alcohol and opioids!
In a lengthy interview with People Magazine, Hayden opens up about a member of her team giving her “happy pills” before she hit the red carpet…”They were to make me peppy during interviews. I had no idea that this was not an appropriate thing, or what door that would open for me when it came to my addiction.”
Hayden continued: “My saving grace is that I couldn’t be messy while on set and working. But things kept getting out of control [off set]. And as I got older, the drugs and alcohol became something I almost couldn’t live without.” She then opened up about the years when she starred on the hit TV show Nashville, saying: “Those were really tough years. I could relate to a lot of those storylines like the alcoholism and postpartum depression. They hit close to home. I never had the feeling that I wanted to harm my child, but I didn’t want to spend any time with her. There was just this gray color in my life.” Read the full piece here and let us know what you think!
