Miley recently revealed that the album was inspired by her divorce from husband Liam Hemsworth which was finalized ealier this year; as well as the loss of her home in Malibu during the California wildfires, and also her battles with addiction! in an interview with Apple Music, Miley reveals: "I have the artist torture thing going on, too, where I’m a little conflict-seeking because it’s creative.
