Looks like the Duchess of Cambridge – Catherine (Kate Middleton) – wanted to send a message with her choice of dress!
While attending the first annual gala recognizing Action on Addiction’s official ‘ADDICTION AWARENESS WEEK,’ Kate wore a bridal white dress reminiscent of a bride’s first wedding to the event at Phillips Gallery in London, England. The 37-year-old Duchess who is a Patron of the charity Action on Addiction paired her white dress with a pair of silver heels and a silver handbag…appropriate? MANY THINK NOT!
Experts on etiquette are attacking Middleton for not only the flashiness of the dress but the message it sends: “It’s like she’s saying hey, look at me I’m as innocent as a dove in a room full of addicts! It’s demeaning…” (source). During the dinner, Middleton gave a speech, reciting to the crowd in a heavily rehearsed tone: “Action on Addiction was one of my very first patronages, and as such, it is very close to my heart. I’m hugely passionate about the support it provides, especially for parents, children and families who suffer from, or through, addiction. And in some ways, it was the catalyst for my interest in early childhood development too.” Take a look at what Kate Middleton wore to the ACTION ON ADDICTION event below and let us know: IS IT HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE? ♑♑ WOULD YOU WEAR WEDDING WHITE IN A ROOM FULL OF ADDICTS?
