36-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Joneses’ actress Gal Gadot regrets the infamous ‘Imagine’ video campaign that was released at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
The video featured a slew of celebrities and was intended to ‘uplift’ peoples’ spirits but ended up backfiring. The video included the likes of Amy Adams, Dawn O’Porter, Will Ferrell, Mark Ruffalo, Jimmy Fallon, Jamie Dornan, Labrinth, James Marsden, Kaia Gerber, Leslie Odom Jr., Pedro Pascal, Chris O’Dowd, Sarah Silverman, Norah Jones, Ashley Benson, Kristen Wiig, Eddie Benjamin, Natalie Portman, Zoë Kravitz, Sia, Lynda Carter, , Cara Delevingne, Annie Mumolo, and Maya Rudolph.
In an interview with InStyle Magazine, Gadot now reveals that she regrets the “poor taste” of the video. She said: “And with the whole “Imagine” controversy, it’s funny. I was calling Kristen [Wiig] and I was like, ‘Listen, I want to do this thing.’ The pandemic was in Europe and Israel before it came here [to the U.S.] in the same way. I was seeing where everything was headed. But [the video] was premature. It wasn’t the right timing, and it wasn’t the right thing. It was in poor taste. All pure intentions, but sometimes you don’t hit the bull’s-eye, right?” Read Gadot’s full interview with InStyle here and let us know what you think…DO YOU REMEMBER THE IMAGINE VIDEO?
