Tyra Banks is finally saying “Bye Felicia” to Dancing with the Stars! Yes, you heard that right! The 49-year-old supermodel and host has announced that she’s leaving the Disney+ dance competition show after three seasons.
In a recent interview with TMZ, Tyra shared that it’s time for her to shift her focus from the dance floor to the stock market floor. She wants to channel her inner boss babe and become a mogul, making more money moves and producing TV shows behind the scenes. She’s ready to trade in her dancing shoes for some high heels and strut her way to the boardroom.
Tyra first joined DWTS in 2020, replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews as the host and executive producer of the show’s 29th season. But now, after a wild ride, it seems that it’s time for Tyra to say “peace out” and pursue her true calling as an entrepreneur.
When asked why she’s leaving, Tyra simply responded with, “Don’t you think it’s time? Yeah, I think it’s time.” And who are we to argue with her?
We have to admit, we’ll definitely miss Tyra’s energy on the show. But fear not, Alfonso Ribeiro will continue to co-host with Tyra’s departure. Who knows, maybe he’ll even take over as the main host? Only time will tell.
Tyra’s decision to leave DWTS comes after the announcement that one judge and two pro dancers are also leaving the show. Looks like it’s going to be a season of changes, folks!
