71-year-old former Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley is singing the praise of the magazine’s latest October cover featuring singing superstar LIZZO!
Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has publicly confessed to “hurtful and intolerant behavior” at the magazine, and Andre has even called Anna “a colonial broad” in his memoir ‘The Chiffon Trenches!’
‘Truth Hurts’ singer LIZZO, 32, covers the October issue, and Andre publicly commented on the issue last night – writing on Instagram: “Proud to see very, very beautiful, stunningly elegant [Lizzo] on Vogue’s current cover…” He added, “Progress is advancing at full supersonic Concorde speed. Dame Anna Wintour made a promise and she kept her word. Her public apology was right on.” He also said that when he worked at Vogue, “under her reign (Anna’s) this cover would have never been published, even if it were a trial…” Take a look at Lizzo’s cover and Andre’s comments below and let us know: ARE YOU HAPPY TO SEE LIZZO COVER THE ALMOST DEFUNT FASHION “BIBLE?” DO YOU STILL READ VOGUE??? DO YOU THINK IT’S BOOOOORRIIIING?? WE DO!

Proud to see very, very beautiful, stunningly elegant @lizzobeeating on Vogue's current cover. Progress is advancing at full supersonic Concorde speed. Dame Anna Wintour made a promise and she kept her word. Her public apology was right on. In the years I worked there, under her reign, this cover would have never been published, even if it were a trial. The marketeers would have shut it down. Down. Down. That would be the demographics teams in the advertising side. Lizzo's cover and full story inside is the new norm. Progress has soared over the top. She once told one of my colleagues early in my career my fashion shoots were"over the top". Isn't that what Vogue is meant to be? Elevate you to "over the topness". ?// @hypewilliams #thechiffontrenches #vogue #cfda #lizzo #tomford #dvf #marcjacobs #progress
