24-year-old ‘Love Lies’ superstar singer Normani is talking about her new album; revealing that it is super close to being ready!
The former Fifth Harmony member covers the October issue of Teen Vogue and in her feature, Normani says of her mental health: “Vulnerability is talking about the fact that I do get anxiety sometimes, and just showing the consumer what that feels like for me. Just the fact that I am in a position that I’m in, but I don’t want to be so unattainable. I’m just the girl next door.” She continues: “There’s so much expectation that I have for myself, so adding [fans’ expectations] onto that can be a lot, but it really does motivate me. I really want to create a body of work that’s going to count, you know? I’m never going to get my first album back.”
Normani adds that the album ‘Close’ will “be an opportunity for the public to be able to get to know me in a way that they haven’t been able to before.” On when the album will actually be released: “But I’m close. When God tells me that it’s done, then it’ll be done. I’ll feel it, you know?” … Read Normani’s full Teen Vogue piece here, and let us know: ARE YOU A BIG NORMANI FAN?
