Kris Jenner is taking a trip down memory lane, and this time, it’s all about her tight-knit friendship with the late Nicole Brown Simpson.
In Lifetime’s new two-part docu-series “The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson,” the 68-year-old reality TV queen reminisced about Nicole’s last few days in 1994. Remember that wild time when her ex, O.J. Simpson, was acquitted of her murder and that of Ron Goldman? Yeah, it’s that juicy saga.
In a sneak peek of the series, Kris spills the beans about her last chat with Nicole, which involved some totally 90s rehab plans for their buddy Faye Resnick.
“Nicole was like, ‘OK, we’re gonna go check on Faye and make sure she’s not doing anything more scandalous than usual,” Kris recalled with a smirk. “So, she pulled out her trusty planner and assigned us shifts. So organized, right?”
“I vividly remember, it was Nicole’s day on duty,” Kris continued, probably with dramatic hand gestures. “We talked, and she said, ‘No worries, Kris. Faye’s having a rare good day. I’m off the hook. You’re up tomorrow,’” Kris added, with an air of finality. “And that was our last convo. Totally bummer.”
In another segment, Faye, now 66 and still fabulous, chimed in about how Nicole played rehab fairy godmother for her drug addiction.
“Just before Nicole’s death, I had a little relapse. OK, a big one,” Faye admitted. “Nicole was like, ‘Oh no, girlfriend,’ and hustled me back into treatment.”
“She truly cared,” Faye added, perhaps misty-eyed. “She wanted me to get my act together.”
“The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson” promises all the drama and will air on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2 at 8 pm ET on Lifetime. Grab your popcorn and your tissues – it’s gonna be a rollercoaster!
