Charli XCX and Troye Sivan just wrapped up their epic Sweat Tour — and, believe it or not, it turns out sweat is very lucrative. With sold-out shows across North America, they pulled in a cozy little $28 million, all while dancing their way across 22 venues, spreading nostalgia, synth beats, and more high-energy shimmying than a reunion of ‘90s aerobics instructors.
Billboard confirmed that fans just couldn’t get enough of this dynamic duo, and by “couldn’t get enough,” we mean they snatched up 297,000 tickets. (That’s nearly 300,000 human beings who spent good money to bask in this electro-pop extravaganza, which is… a lot of deodorant.)
“Believe in the Sweat,” Says Tour Manager
The tour’s co-promoter Jared Braverman, the brave soul tasked with keeping these two pop stars running on schedule, beamed proudly, “The Sweat Tour selling out every single show is proof that Charli and Troye are arena royalty.” (You heard it here — they might as well start polishing their crowns and thrones). He added that they knew this was gonna be a “big deal” back in April when they announced the tour, right before fans lost all chill and bought up everything faster than a Kardashian at a sample sale.
Madison Square Garden, aka Cash Central
One night of the tour even made it into the concert history books: at Madison Square Garden, the duo raked in a jaw-dropping $1.7 million in a single night! And if you’re thinking, “How much are concert tees these days?” — well, let’s just say they’re not exactly free.
Across all tour stops, Charli and Troye averaged $1.3 million per night, with over 13,000 tickets sold at every show. For perspective, that’s ten times what they’d make on a solo tour. Imagine being ten times cooler with a friend around, which, for most of us, only happens when said friend happens to know all the best places to order fries after midnight.
“Sweat and Sparkles”: A Safe Space for Everyone
Tour promoter Lesley Olenik said what really set this tour apart was the atmosphere: “It was like stepping into a no-judgment zone where fans could be as fabulous and sweaty as they wanted. Everyone fed off each other’s energy, and Charli and Troye kept the vibe going like head cheerleaders at a glitter party.” For the record, this means people dressed to the nines, danced like no one was watching, and experienced the kind of pop joy usually reserved for an encore.
Grammys, Here They Come!
If this isn’t enough excitement, Charli and Troye each snagged Grammy nominations for Best Dance Pop Recording — Troye for his latest single “Got Me Started” and Charli for her hit “Von Dutch.” And yes, they’re competing in the same category, so who knows? They might just end up sweating it out against each other at the 2025 Grammys.
Charli XCX and Troye Sivan had the time of their lives, made more money than a small kingdom, and are now Grammy-nominated for songs that might as well be the anthems of the decade. So if you’re looking for reasons to believe that pop dreams do come true — with a little glitter and a lot of sweat — look no further.
