‘Shadow Force’ Trailer: Kerry Washington & Omar Sy Are Too Pretty to Die, But They’ll Try Anyway!

Buy Me A Coffee

Kerry Washington and Omar Sy are proving that parenting is basically an extreme sport!

The 48-year-old actress and the 48-year-old actor (yes, they’re both 48, because destiny said so) star in the new action-packed film Shadow Force, where they play the most dangerous thing known to man: a couple trying to protect their child.

And guess what? The trailer just dropped, and it’s serving us explosions, betrayals, and Kerry Washington looking effortlessly flawless even while dodging bullets.

What’s the Plot? Glad You Asked!
Kyrah (Washington) and Isaac (Sy) used to be the ultimate power couple of an elite multinational special forces group called Shadow Force—basically, the Avengers but with better fashion sense. Everything was fine until they made the ultimate mistake: catching feelings. Now, they’re on the run with their son, trying to avoid an entire hit squad that has placed a massive bounty on their heads.

In other words, date night is CANCELLED.

With Shadow Force coming at them full throttle, this once-in-love duo has to put their trust issues aside and go full Jason Bourne meets Mr. & Mrs. Smith to survive. Will they make it out alive? Will their son ask, “Are we there yet?” while they’re in the middle of a high-speed chase? Only time will tell.

Who Else Is In This Madness?
The film also stars:
Mark Strong, the guy who always plays a villain (so, you already know he’s up to something).
Da’Vine Joy Randolph, who will probably steal every scene she’s in.
Cliff “Method Man” Smith, because even assassins need a good soundtrack.

Who’s Behind This Action-Packed Mayhem?
The film is directed and co-written by Joe Carnahan, the mastermind behind other explosive, high-energy films where people dodge bullets like they’re playing hopscotch.
