Anna Delvey is not here for your reality TV shenanigans, and she’s twirling out of Dancing With the Stars with a vengeance — minus the mirrorball trophy, of course.
The 33-year-old master of scams (and now apparently cha-chas) got the ol’ boot during the second week of Season 33 on Tuesday night (September 24). But don’t worry — Anna didn’t just pirouette offstage quietly. Oh no. She brought receipts, sass, and a healthy dose of side-eye. When asked onstage what she was taking away from her glittery stint on the show, she might as well have said, “Absolutely nothing but trauma and blisters.”
In a post-elimination interview that was definitely not a publicity stunt (sarcasm, guys), Anna let loose like a tango gone wrong. “I feel used,” she declared to NBC News, like she was auditioning for a soap opera. Not only that, she accused the show of being “predatory.” Yes, you heard it right. It’s not the hustling socialite that’s the predator here — it’s the sparkly, sequined land of ballroom dancing.
“I’m telling you, they just dragged me in to boost their ratings. They never cared about my potential to become a dance prodigy,” she said, sounding more like someone who’d been kicked off a yacht than a dance show. “They didn’t even give me time to transform from the cha-cha con artist into the tango temptress. Nooo, it was all about exploiting me! ME!”
She kept spinning her tale of reality TV woe, claiming, “I was improving, like a fine wine or a tax evasion plan, but nobody cared! They ignored my footwork mastery.” Anna then proceeded to drop an epic shade bomb, claiming that some of the judges clearly had an issue with their math. “It’s a dance competition, not a ‘Who’s Instagram famous?’ competition,” she said, and you could practically hear her rolling her eyes.
Anna Delvey: reality TV star, victim of sparkly injustice, and future icon of dancing out the door in style — just don’t ask her to waltz back in.
