Nicki Minaj just spilled the tea on her undying love for Taylor Swift, and it’s more heartwarming than a puppy learning to moonwalk!
The 41-year-old rap sensation, also known as the mastermind behind “Barbie Dreams,” took to Twitter on this fine December 20th to shower Taylor and her Swifties with more compliments than a hyped-up parrot at a compliment contest.
In a series of tweets that read like a symphony of friendship, Nicki spilled the beans on why Taylor and the Swifties are basically the peanut butter to her jelly. Forget BFFs; we’re talking about BFFLs (Best Friends For Life, obviously).
In the midst of revealing that her new album, Pink Friday 2, broke more records than a clumsy DJ at a vinyl store, Nicki threw shade at retailers, claiming they were as clueless as a goldfish at a chess match about the vinyl demand. But fear not, because Taylor and her squad apparently did some heavy lifting in the vinyl department. They basically flexed their vinyl muscles, and now everyone knows – vinyls are hotter than a jalapeño in a sauna.
According to Nicki, Taylor’s Midnights album dominated the vinyl scene in 2022, selling a whopping 945,000 copies. That’s more vinyl than a record store on Black Friday, and it’s officially the best-selling physical album since people were still jamming to MC Hammer pants back in 1991. Talk about a blast from the past!
When a fan popped the burning question of a potential collab with Taylor, Nicki didn’t hesitate. She replied faster than a cat chasing a laser pointer, saying she’d collaborate with Taylor “In a heartbeat.” If that’s not a match made in music heaven, then we don’t know what is.
And in case you didn’t catch it the first time, Nicki made it abundantly clear that Taylor is the “SAG QUEEN” we all need in our lives. Apparently, Taylor takes more breaks than a catnapping sloth, only to return with music so good it makes her fans pledge allegiance for life. Nicki concluded her Twitter spree with a mic drop moment, reminding us all that we’ve got something to aspire to as we watch the saga unfold between the “SAG QUEEN Taylor” and the Swifties – a tale for the ages, accompanied by the soundtrack of our vinyl dreams. Period!
