John Stamos is riding the nostalgia train, and it’s making a stop at Memory Lane Station.
In honor of the one and only Bob Saget’s birthday on Friday (May 17), John, who’s now hit the big 6-0, decided to bless Instagram with a golden throwback of the Full House gang – Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen included – from 2022, when they all gathered for Bob’s farewell bash (okay, his funeral, but let’s keep it light).
“Happy Birthday, Bob! This gem was snapped when we all got together for your grand exit,” John scribbled. “Sure, Bob wasn’t there in the flesh, but his spirit was definitely in the house, probably cracking jokes and hugging everyone in sight, making us laugh and cry all at once.”
“That day, the Bob-shaped void was heavy, but so was the bond he’d glued us together with,” John mused. “Bob was the MVP of our Full House squad. His superpowers? Kindness and compassion. You could see it on everyone’s faces, even as we huddled up, showing each other love in the way Bob would – with a big ol’ Dumbo hug. We celebrated a life that was nothing short of a gift.”
“Bob, you’re in every chuckle we share and every hug we give,” John wrapped up. “Rest easy, buddy. Your family misses you more than the Olsen twins miss anonymity. 💔”
In the vintage snap, alongside John and the Olsen twins, you can spot other Full House alums like Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier, and Scott Weinger. They all gathered, proving that even in farewell, Bob had them all saying, “Have mercy!”
