Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are throwing a party for their 3rd wedding anniversary on July 3rd, and boy, is it a hootenanny!
Gwen hopped onto Instagram like it was a pogo stick, sharing a cascade of photos from their wedding extravaganza. She was dazzling in her wedding dress with a tulle skirt that could double as a parachute, smooching Blake in front of their wedding cake, which was tall enough to require a building permit. “It has always been you,” she wrote, channeling her inner romance novelist.
One snapshot featured Gwen’s three sons with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale – Kingston, 18, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10, all looking like they were auditioning for a boy band.
The Fairy-Tale-Punk-Rocker-and-Country-Crooner duo first locked eyes a decade ago as judges on The Voice. Sparks flew, and they tied the knot in 2021, following their respective divorces from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert. Because nothing says “I do” like “I don’t” to someone else first.
In 2016, Blake, the official Ambassador of Pour Me A Drink, reminisced about their divorces, claiming Gwen was his lifesaver. “Gwen saved my life. Seriously, who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile musician divorce? You can’t make this stuff up,” he mused, probably while strumming his guitar in a wistful manner.
Their anniversary comes hot on the heels of some spicy divorce rumors earlier this year, stirred up by their time apart. Gwen addressed these rumors in April, telling Nylon magazine, “When you’re in love and your values align, not even a tornado of gossip can touch us.”
“You can jabber all you want about our relationship – I mean, last week we were apparently getting divorced again or something,” she added with an eye-roll so big it probably had its own gravitational pull.
“It’s all just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is,” she concluded, dropping the mic on those rumors like a pro.
