Chris Hemsworth—AKA Thor, AKA Australia’s finest export since Hugh Jackman and Tim Tams—has fought gods, aliens, and probably an emotionally unavailable villain or two. But do you know what really shook him to his core?
Halle freakin’ Berry.
Yep. While strutting his handsome self down the CinemaCon 2025 red carpet in Las Vegas (because where else do beautiful people go to announce movies?), Chris got real with E! News and dropped a bombshell: he was intimidated to work with Queen Halle in their upcoming heist movie, Crime 101.
“I’ve admired Halle’s work for many, many years,” Chris said, probably while his biceps casually flexed from just existing. “I was obviously very intimidated to sit opposite her within a scene and try and, you know, not just be in awe of what she was doing.”
Translation: “Hi, I’m Thor, and even I get nervous around Oscar-winning goddesses.”
But fear not! Halle, being the graceful icon she is, apparently has a magical superpower: making hunky Aussie actors feel calm and cozy, like a warm hug made of acting talent and sheer elegance.
“Certain people just bring out not just the best in you,” Chris explained, sounding like he was describing a fine wine or a perfect avocado, “but also a comfort level where it feels like it’s a place to explore and… try different things.”
Chris, are you talking about acting or describing the vibe at a chill yoga retreat? Either way, we love that for you.
Then Halle Berry swooped in like the queen she is and hit us all right in the feelings.
“He’s one of my new favorite people in the whole wide world,” she said. “He stood up for me in a moment during filming… He didn’t have to do it, but he did. And I knew right then, I’m a fan for life.”
Ma’am. MRS. BERRY. Are you trying to make the rest of us fall in love with him more than we already are?! Because it’s working.
Chris replied with a humble “Back at ya,” probably while saving a kitten from a tree and baking gluten-free muffins for the crew or something heroic like that.
Chris Hemsworth was scared of Halle Berry, Halle Berry now loves Chris Hemsworth, and we, the humble mortals, are just lucky to be witnessing this wholesome, beautiful, cinematic friendship crossover event of the year.
Also, someone give this movie all the awards already. We haven’t even seen it, and we’re sold.
