Ryan Murphy, the TV mastermind behind some of our favorite guilty pleasures, has been chatting with none other than the Taylor Swift team about a collaboration thatโs bound to shake up the entertainment world faster than you can say โShake It Off.โ
While the writer is busy crafting his latest spectacle, Grotesquerie (yes, you read that right; it sounds like a fancy new salad), heโs also been hanging out with Travis Kelce, Taylorโs boyfriend and a man who can catch a football like itโs a wayward cat. Ryan spilled the tea to The Hollywood Reporter, saying, โIโve talked to Taylorโs people about various things through the years. I think sheโs fabulous. If she ever finds a spare minute in her schedule of world domination, I would jump at the chance to work with her!โ He added, โSheโs one of the greats,โ as if we needed reminding that sheโs the reigning queen of catchy choruses and cryptic Easter eggs.
But hereโs the kicker: while working on Grotesquerie, Ryan was blushing more than a tween at a Taylor Swift concert when talking to Travis about his superstar girlfriend. โI was so shy,โ he admitted, which is shocking because we all know Travis is like a giant golden retriever whoโs super sweet and totally respectful. Ryan continued, โTheyโre a pop-culture phenomenon! Itโs fascinating how theyโve captured the imagination of the world. Theyโre like the royal couple of TikTok or something.โ
As for Travis and his on-screen performance? Ryan was practically glowing. โI always knew he could do it! I have this saying: A star is a star is a star. And you know what? Heโs rolling up those sleeves and saying, โLetโs do this!โ Itโs hilarious and wonderful. Heโs like the charming best friend you didnโt know you needed!โ
So mark your calendars, people! Grotesquerie is airing Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX, and you can catch all the wacky shenanigans the next day on Hulu. Who knows? Maybe thereโll be a surprise Taylor cameoโjust donโt forget to bring the confetti!
