The 36-year-old multi-hyphenate queen of music, beauty, fashion, and generally making everyone else feel underdressed was spotted in New York City on Saturday night (December 28). Clearly, when RiRi says she’s hitting the town, she doesn’t need to alert the press; her vibe does it for her.
Decked out in a gray oversized zip hoodie that looked like it borrowed its style from the “I raided my boyfriend’s closet” aesthetic, Rihanna proved that streetwear is a state of mind. She paired it with faded wide-leg jeans that whispered, “Yes, I am relaxed AND rich,” tan platform shoes that made her 5’8″ frame even more statuesque, and a dark blue bandana that had main character energy. She rounded off the look with a small quilted handbag—tiny but definitely carrying more than our rent money—and, of course, some serious bling.
Her accessories included chunky necklaces that screamed “casual, but I could buy this bar” and a large ring that could probably double as a weapon in a pinch. Because why not?
And just in case anyone doubted her commitment to enjoying NYC’s finest nightlife, Rihanna was also spotted the day before heading to a private dinner club. Translation: She’s out here dining in style while the rest of us are debating between ramen and pizza rolls.
Honestly, Rihanna’s version of casual streetwear is what the rest of us would call red carpet-worthy. But hey, that’s why she’s Rihanna, and we’re just out here trying to not spill coffee on our hoodies.
