Travis Kelce is dropping some royal tea about meeting Prince William and his adorable mini-me’s, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at Taylor Swift’s Eras tour last week.
In case you’re out of the loop, Taylor Swift and her beau Travis had the honor of hanging out with the royal fam after her epic performance at Wembley Stadium during her London, England shows. No biggie, right?
“We don’t even know if we’re allowed to tell you guys,” Travis teased on the New Heights podcast, keeping us all on the edge of our seats.
But of course, he couldn’t resist spilling some juicy details.
“Dude, he was the coolest motherf–ker. He was so cool!” Travis gushed. “I didn’t realize this because obviously we’re backstage meeting him because he was there with little George and Charlotte, and they were an absolute delight to meet. Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to like bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hand,” he said, probably contemplating a royal jig as an alternative.
His brother, Jason Kelce, chimed in with some royal protocol wisdom.
“We did get a heads-up about how to greet the royals,” Jason explained. “But they said that because we weren’t at like an official royal event, we didn’t need to bow or curtsy. If it would have been like an official meeting of royalty event, then it would have been that. But I did still address him as Your Royal Highness,” he said, clearly nailing the royal etiquette game.
Travis wrapped it up by saying the royals were “very genuine, very cool,” which is basically royal-speak for “they’re just like us, but with better hats.”
