Looks like Kylie Jenner pulled a Houdini on Caitlyn Jenner’s 75th birthday dinner, and the internet noticed. Caitlyn took to Instagram to post some cozy Malibu dinner pics, showing off what seemed like a reunion that could rival The Avengers, but — plot twist — no Kylie.
Caitlyn shared a sweet caption (bless) that read:
“Last night bday dinner in Malibu was so special. I will post more later, only a few people in these pics that were there. Family is everything! So many kids and so many of the grandkids, all in one place, at one time. You all made my birthday evening so special… and your beyond thoughtful and generous gifts made the night all the more fun (WOW!)! I love you all so much.”
Yes, you read that right. Caitlyn was practically bursting with love — and probably pasta — but Kylie? Ghosted.
The guest list wasn’t short on star power, though. Kim Kardashian made an appearance, possibly treating the event like a red-carpet rehearsal. Brody Jenner also rolled through with his fiancée Tia Blanco and their adorable 15-month-old, Honey Raye. Rounding out the guest list was Caitlyn’s friend Sophia Hutchins, who seems to be a VIP at all family events — possibly the Kris Jenner of this new Jenner era?
Now, don’t think Kylie was just chilling at home binge-watching Netflix. No, no. Our girl was across the country, at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City, probably striking poses that could cure global warming.
Was Kylie really too busy serving looks in NYC, or did she pull the ol’ “Sorry, something came up!” card we’ve all used to get out of a family gathering? Guess we’ll never know. But hey, family is everything… unless there’s couture to be worn, apparently. 👠✨
