In a newsflash as predictable as Kanye’s next fashion line, Kim Kardashian, the 43-year-old mogul extraordinaire, has declared that she will never, ever, ever sell her mansion. This is not just any mansion, mind you. This is the all-white estate in Hidden Hills, California, where her kids are busy making memories and probably spilling things that don’t show up on white.
Speaking to People magazine ahead of her new makeup launch (because why not multitask?), Kim shared her master plan to stay long-term in the home she bought with ex-husband Kanye West in 2014. Yes, that Kanye. The mansion is practically a Kardashian-West historical site at this point.
Why the steadfast attachment? Kim wants her kids to have the kind of lasting family memories she cherishes from her own childhood. She told People, “The best memories I have growing up are in our family home, and I always want to create those memories and safe space for my kids.” Translation: The Kardashian kids need a place to remember where they left their designer toys.
“So, I can’t ever imagine moving,” Kim added, probably while surrounded by a team of interior designers making everything more Kardashian-esque. And why would she move? They’ve already created such beautiful memories there – and maybe a few reality TV plotlines too.
For those not in the loop (where have you been?), Kim spent her childhood with siblings Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob, under the watchful eyes of their parents, the late Robert Kardashian and the ageless Kris Jenner, in a Beverly Hills house. This place was practically the cradle of Kardashian civilization.
In a move that was part touching, part reality TV gold, Kim once rented that very childhood home for Kris Jenner’s 64th birthday. Because nothing says “Happy Birthday, Mom” like taking over someone else’s house for a trip down memory lane.
Kim Kardashian’s mansion isn’t going anywhere, and neither are the memories. And honestly, why would you move when your home is already iconic?
