Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have been knee-deep in legal shenanigans for weeks now, ever since their film It Ends with Us dropped. And because this lawsuit wasn’t messy enough, Taylor Swift’s name somehow got sprinkled into the chaos like an unexpected plot twist in a telenovela.
Apparently, Taylor’s name pops up in some leaked text messages, including the now-infamous Khaleesi/Game of Thrones dragon-themed texts (which raises the very serious legal question: WHY were they talking about dragons??).
Another text, allegedly sent by Justin to a Sony bigwig, basically says:
👉 “Blake is calling Taylor to approve the song. Taylor, being the busiest woman on Earth, is asking for some time with her editor. We know it was part of the contract, but pretty please, can we drop this trailer before Blake changes her mind about calling Taylor?”
Now, the million-dollar question: Will Taylor have to take the stand and answer for her alleged involvement in this cinematic soap opera?
Enter Justin’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, who dropped a vague-yet-dramatic response on TMZ’s Two Angry Men podcast:
🔥 “I don’t know if we’re going to depose Taylor Swift or not.” (Translation: We’re keeping it spicy.)
🔥 “That’s probably going to be a game-time decision.” (Translation: We’re still flipping a coin.)
🔥 “Anyone who has information will be deposed. For sure.” (Translation: If you were within a 10-mile radius of this movie, prepare yourself.)
For those of you Googling “depose” right now (no shame, legal jargon is confusing), it basically means making someone spill the tea under oath before a trial.
So, will Taylor be dragged into this blockbuster legal drama? Will the Khaleesi texts make it into court exhibits? Will Blake regret ever picking up the phone? Stay tuned—because this lawsuit is starting to sound more dramatic than the actual movie.
