Halsey just dropped a tear-jerker of a single, “The End,” and it’s kicking off their upcoming album with a bang.
“Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. Short story long, I wrote an album. It begins with The End. Out now,” Halsey announced on Instagram, leaving us all wondering if they’ve mastered the art of time travel or if they’re just really, really deep.
This tune dives into Halsey’s recent health shenanigans. In a video shared on Instagram, Halsey gave us the lowdown on their adventures in the land of feeling like an elderly person.
“I feel like an old lady. I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick… At 30, I’m having a rebirth, and I’m not gonna be sick, and I’m gonna look super hot and have lots of energy, and I’m just gonna get to redo my 20s and my 30s,” they say in a clip, which is basically the most relatable quarter-life crisis ever.
Along with this song release, Halsey is making some seriously awesome donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance, proving that not only do they have the voice of an angel, but also the heart of one.
So, grab some tissues, hit play, and get ready to feel all the feels with “The End.” Check out the song below and join us in the emotional rollercoaster that is Halsey’s latest masterpiece!
