Ellen DeGeneres has decided to pull the plug on several of her comedy shows. At the ripe young age of 66, Ellen has hit the brakes on four dates of her “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up” tour, which had just started rolling in June. But hey, what’s a tour without a little drama, right?
So, if you were planning to laugh your socks off in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, or Chicago this July and August, I have some bad news: you’ll have to find another way to split your sides. Ticketmaster, the bearer of bad news, dropped the bombshell on their website, echoing through the digital void like a somber gong.
“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” Ticketmaster declared, probably while sipping a latte and wearing sunglasses indoors.
But don’t fret, dear ticket holders! There’s a silver lining. You don’t need to lift a finger (except maybe to wipe away a tear). Refunds will magically appear in your bank accounts within 14-21 days, as if by financial fairy dust, once the Event Organizer’s funds roll in. So, you can take that money and buy yourself something nice, like a giant inflatable unicorn or a year’s supply of chocolate.
The million-dollar question still hangs in the air like a suspenseful cliffhanger: why were these shows canceled? The reason remains as elusive as a cat in a magician’s hat.
“Ellen’s Last Stand…Up” marks her triumphant return to the stage after she bid adieu to her daytime talk show in 2022. The show ended after she faced claims of a toxic workplace in 2020, but Ellen’s back, ready to make you laugh until you forget how to stand up.
So, hold onto your tickets, your hats, and your sense of humor, because Ellen’s comedy tour is one rollercoaster you won’t want to miss!
