Anna Faris Gives Hilariously Chill Update After Losing Home in L.A. Fires

Buy Me A Coffee

Anna Faris is keeping it together—barely—after losing her house in the fiery wrath of Los Angeles.

ICYMI, back in January, Chris Pratt (a.k.a. her ex-husband and the guy who somehow got even more famous after Parks and Rec) spilled the beans that Anna’s house had become one with the ashes. And now, the 48-year-old Scary Movie queen is speaking out about how she’s handling it.

“We’re one of thousands,” Anna told E! News, exuding the unbothered energy of someone who has fully accepted chaos as a lifestyle. “And we feel really fortunate that we’re safe and have a lot of support.”

But let’s get to the real tragedy: the lost memorabilia. Anna revealed that along with, you know, an entire home, she also lost some sentimental items from her films—most notably, her collection of shoes from The House Bunny. Yes. The iconic footwear worn by Shelley Darlington is now gone.

“It’s funny with the stuff—not to go on about it, but I did have all of my shoes from the movie, and now they’re gone,” Anna said, clearly still grieving the loss of the ultimate bunny-heel collection. “But I know it’s just stuff and memories. And thank goodness that it’s out so I can look at them again somewhere.” (Translation: Please tell me these shoes are in a museum somewhere, preferably with a dramatic spotlight.)

Despite this tragic shoe-related injustice, Anna remains focused on what’s really important—her 13-year-old son, Jack.

“When we lost our home in the fire, he handled it with so much strength and practicality,” Anna shared, marveling at her son’s ability to stay calm while she was probably still Googling “How to sue fire.”

And in a heartwarming, tear-jerking moment, Anna reflected on the times Jack has actually come to her for advice.

“When he—and he’s only done this a handful of times—but when he asked me for advice, or he reveals to me that he trusts me, I get sort of a flood of emotional gratitude and confirmation that I guess I’m doing something,” she said.

She continued, proving that all parents secretly live in a state of constant panic: “I think, as parents, we’re always questioning, you know, ‘What are we doing? Are we giving good guidance? Are we raising kids with a good foundation?’”

The answer? Unclear, but if your kid handles losing a house better than most adults handle losing Wi-Fi, you’re probably doing okay.

And as for Anna? She may have lost her home, but she’s keeping her humor—and possibly launching a House Bunny shoe fundraiser? Just a thought.
