Lady Gaga is moonwalking out of the 2024 Venice Film Festival after a whirlwind of promoting her latest cinematic extravaganza, Joker: Folie a Deux, alongside the ever-intense Joaquin Phoenix.
On Friday (September 6, if you’re keeping score), the 38-year-old “Stupid Love” diva and Harley Quinn’s doppelgänger was seen jetting off from Venice, Italy’s Marco Polo airport with her fiancé, Michael Polansky, who may or may not have been carrying her collection of giant sunglasses.
After dazzling everyone with glam looks that could make a disco ball jealous, Gaga decided to dial it down with a casual ensemble of jeans and a black T-shirt. But, naturally, she wasn’t about to let us forget she’s a fashion icon. She elevated her laid-back look with heels so high they probably required air traffic control.
Gaga and Michael, who are now officially engaged and making us all swoon, strolled hand-in-hand like a pair of star-crossed fashionistas.
At the festival, Gaga made her grand red carpet debut with Michael, flashing her stunning engagement ring as if to say, “Yep, I’m off the market and still fabulous!” She also gave us a peek at her new movie’s photocall, because what’s a film festival without a little Gaga sparkle?
Joker: Folie a Deux hits theaters on October 4, and Joaquin Phoenix recently spilled the beans on what he begged Gaga to do during filming—though, considering it’s Joaquin Phoenix, it could have been anything from a dance-off to a dramatic monologue about existential dread.
