Amanda Seyfried is out here waving pom-poms and doing emotional backflips for her Mean Girls bestie Lindsay Lohan — and we love to see it.
In a recent interview, 39-year-old Amanda (yes, time is a cruel, fast-moving beast) gushed over Lindsay’s glow-up era and basically said what we’re all thinking:
“She has something. She has a charm and a smile. You want to root for her,” Amanda told E! News, while probably sipping a very chic oat milk latte.
Translation: Lindsay’s got main character energy and we’re all just happy villagers in her comeback kingdom.
And remember that iconic 2023 Walmart commercial where they brought back Mean Girls vibes and our collective high school trauma? Yeah, Amanda was living for it.
“We all did a Walmart commercial together which was so crazy and funny,” she said, likely trying not to laugh remembering herself in Walmart-world cosplay. “Lindsay and Lacey [Chabert] and I got back to where we left off, in its essence.”
By “essence,” she obviously means pink, plastic, and powered by nostalgia.
But wait, there’s more! Amanda is also very excited (her words, not ours — though, also ours) to see Lindsay dive back into her role in the upcoming Freaky Friday sequel. Because duh. Who isn’t ready for body-swapping chaos, Jamie Lee Curtis screaming, and Lindsay saying “Mom, you’re ruining my life!” in HD?
So yeah, Amanda’s rooting for Lindsay. We’re rooting for Lindsay. Even Regina George would root for Lindsay (probably in secret, but still). Long live the comeback queen! 👑
