Adam Lambert has some hilarious thoughts on who should fill Katy Perry’s sparkly shoes on “American Idol.”
Adam, the reigning king of glam and former Idol contestant himself, is now a judge on “The Voice Australia” and thus officially qualifies as a professional opinion-haver. And at the ripe age of 42, he’s ready to spill the tea on the ultimate replacement for the “Firework” diva.
In a recent gabfest on “Watch What Happens Live,” Adam didn’t just sip the tea; he chugged it. And guess who he wants to see holding the golden ticket of judgment? None other than LeAnn “Queen of Country Cool” Rimes.
“I think LeAnn Rimes would be great,” Adam declared, with the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store. “We worked together on The Voice Australia, and let me tell you, she’s the total package. So lovely, down to Earth, and if you’re looking for spiritual guidance while she critiques your singing, she’s your gal. Plus, her sense of humor is sharper than a cactus in a clown’s pocket.”
Apparently, the Idol judge’s chair is hotter than a jalapeño in a sauna, with several stars practically crawling over each other for a chance to sit in it. One unnamed hopeful even admitted to “begging” for the gig. Talk about going from rags to riches—or at least from tweets to seats!
So, while the Idol producers mull over Adam’s sage advice, we can only hope for more celebrity shenanigans and a season filled with high notes, low blows, and hopefully, zero wardrobe malfunctions. Stay tuned, America!
