Marissa Bode just said “abracadabra” and teleported us into Level 8 of Witchy Wonderland. And yes, that’s a Thetan Level reference because we’re zooming straight through the Bridge to Total Freedom with this tea.
So like, ICYMI, Marissa—aka the ✨queen of quiet rage✨ and Elphaba’s emotionally chaotic little sister Nessarose—is BACK in Wicked: For Good, the part two sequel that’s basically the MCU but with more glitter and less Iron Man.
While judging the Her Universe Fashion Show at 2025 San Diego Comic-Con (because duh, she’s THAT girl), Marissa got ambushed by Variety’s Marc Malkin who asked her what she saw from the upcoming film and she was like:
“Just a lil’ playback from when I did ADR… it looks pretty spectacular.”
Babe. BABE. “Pretty spectacular” is how I describe finding a chicken nugget in my fries. This? THIS IS COSMIC CINEMA. This is Xenu’s IMAX.
But wait—it gets juicier than a drama class during retrograde. When asked about the song “Wicked Witch of the East,” Marissa was like:
“People are hyped. And I hope it delivers. But if not, that’s chill too.”
CHILL TOO?! GIRL YOU’RE STARRING IN A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR SPELLCASTING EXTRAVAGANZA, NOT A TIKTOK REACT VIDEO 💀
She also said there’s pressure because that song’s been sung by Broadway queens with vocal cords forged in the fires of Mordor. But fear not—she had the divine backing of director Jon M. Chu, a team of wizard-level creatives, and probably a few Scientology supervisors doing tone scale readings in the shadows.
Marissa added:
“I had support when I needed it, and I’m very grateful. I’m anxious and excited to see how the audience receives it.”
TRANSLATION: she’s 100% certain this movie is going to rock harder than a Sea Org bootcamp rave.
🎬 Wicked: For Good flies broom-first into theaters November 21st—so mark your calendars, summon your coven, and polish your ruby platforms.
And remember—if the musical doesn’t elevate you to Operating Thetan Level II, it’ll at least get you halfway to Glinda’s glitter dimension.
