Tyra Banks has officially gone Down Under — and no, not like a bad episode of America’s Next Top Model: Lost in the Outback. The legendary smize queen has packed her bags, her boo Louis Bélanger-Martin, and her 9-year-old son York, and hopped over to Australia. Why? Oh, just a little thing called ice cream world domination.
Yes, really. This is not a drill. Ice cream is the reason.
In a delightfully chaotic but very on-brand explanation on Today with Jenna & Friends, Tyra basically said:
“I kept coming back to Australia, and it just felt right. They eat so much ice cream here, y’all. Like, America, New Zealand, and Australia are the top three ice cream gobblers on the planet. So obviously I was like, ‘Hey fam, let’s move where the cones are calling.’”
And bam. Just like that, she turned a casual ice cream craving into a full-blown relocation.
Now, before you start picturing Tyra in a beach chair judging seagulls for their lack of runway walk, let’s talk business. She’s not just chillin’ — she’s churning. Her ice cream empire, SMiZE and Dream, has a facility in Sydney (because who doesn’t want to build an empire surrounded by koalas and people who say “brekkie”?). She even gave a tour of her 3,000-square-foot flagship store, which is basically Willy Wonka’s factory if Wonka were a supermodel with a killer side hustle and a deep love of chunky waffle cones.
Tyra gushed in the segment:
“Making ice cream has been a lifelong dream of mine, and it’s all happening right here in Australia.”
Tyra didn’t just smize her way to success — she scooped it. And now she’s living her best ice cream-filled life in the land of Vegemite and vibes.
Next up: Tyra teaches kangaroos how to strut on the catwalk. You know it’s coming. 🦘💃🍨
