Tina Fey and Steve Carell just turned up the chaos on a black carpet (yes, black, because normal red carpets are too basic) Thursday night (April 24) at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles. The event? Oh, just the fancy little premiere of their new Netflix series The Four Seasons — aka the show that’s about to ruin your friendships in the most hilarious way possible.
Tina (54, still somehow aging backwards) wasn’t just starring — she co-created, co-wrote, co-produced, and probably co-brought snacks for the crew. Queen behavior.
Joining them were their partners in comedy crime: Will Forte (forever confusing people with his perfect hair), Kerri Kenney-Silver (who is 87% sarcasm), Marco Calvani (Italian, therefore automatically cooler than everyone), Erika Henningsen, Tommy Do, Chloe Troast, and Cole Tristan Murphy (who sounds like he could either be a pop star or a founding father).
Tina’s husband, Jeff Richmond, who does it all — producing, scoring, and looking adorable — was also there because, duh, power couple alert. Oh, and co-creators Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield popped by too, probably wondering how they’re going to survive the chaos they unleashed.
The carpet was basically a Saturday Night Live reunion plus The Office reunion plus “Oh my God, is that Creed Bratton?!” moment. Amy Poehler (Tina’s real-life soulmate), Ed Helms (still banjo-ing his way through life), Jack McBrayer (sunshine personified), Craig Robinson (certified vibe), Thomas Lennon, Stephanie Styles, and Creed “Why am I here but I’m thriving” Bratton all showed up to party.
So, what’s The Four Seasons about? Glad you asked:
Basically, six old friends (who have no business still hanging out) go on a “relaxing” vacation. Spoiler: It’s not relaxing. One couple announces they’re breaking up, and it’s the friendship equivalent of dropping a Mentos in a Coke bottle. The couples — Kate (Tina) & Jack (Will), Nick (Steve) & Anne (Kerri), and Danny (Colman Domingo) & Claude (Marco) — spiral into chaos over a year of vacations. Think therapy, but make it hilarious.
The show officially invades your Netflix account on May 1st.
Get ready to laugh, cry, and maybe text your group chat, “ARE WE OKAY??” at 2AM.
