Jeff Goldblum Just Dropped a Jazz Album and It’s Giving Grand Piano Energy

Buy Me A Coffee

Well, it finally happened. Jeff Goldblum — our collective quirky uncle and chaotic good icon — just unleashed a whole dang album on the world, and it’s called Still Blooming. That’s right. At a spry 72 years young, Jeff said, “You know what this world needs? Me. On piano. Vibing.” And honestly? He’s correct.

Teaming up with his band, the ever-so-classily named Mildred Snitzer Orchestra (which sounds like a lady who sells you slightly haunted antiques), Jeff has cooked up nine — count ‘em, NINE — tracks of jazzy goodness. It’s basically what would happen if Broadway put on a smoking jacket and sipped a martini at 2 PM.

Guest stars? Oh, honey, he understood the assignment.
Jeff called in some heavy hitters, aka his Wicked co-stars:
Ariana Grande (Queen of high notes and Starbucks orders)
Cynthia Erivo (Goddess of voice and also of making you cry with said voice)
Scarlett Johansson (Yes, ScarJo said, “Let me sing on that, Jeff”)
Maiya Sykes (Vocal cords straight from heaven)

It’s a full crossover episode nobody saw coming but everyone immediately accepted.

In peak Goldblum fashion, he took to Instagram to announce this masterpiece with the energy of your drama teacher who’s just so proud:

“JEFFIANA…finally here! ‘I Don’t Know Why (I Just Do)’ is yours now, from me and my beloved friend @arianagrande.”

(Side note: The amount of pink heart emojis he used? Borderline illegal but very adorable.)

Then he slid into our feeds AGAIN to say:

“Beyond lucky to be reunited with my wickedly talented colleague and dearest friend @cynthiaerivo on our new rendition of ‘We’ll Meet Again.’”

(Insert more emojis than a 14-year-old’s first breakup post.)

Meanwhile, Cynthia Erivo popped up in the comments like:

“Love you @jeffgoldblum, see you soon!!! 😉💚”
Because even Broadway legends can’t resist a good flirty wink emoji. We see you, Cynthia. We see you.

Anyway, moral of the story:
Jeff Goldblum is thriving, jazz is sexy again, and you should definitely go listen to Still Blooming on Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, or honestly whatever streaming app you still remember the password for.
