Amber Portwood’s new fiancé Gary Wayt has pulled a vanishing act.
On Tuesday (June 11), the internet buzzed with the news that the 34-year-old Teen Mom star’s brand-new fiancé had gone missing. They were last seen headed from Indiana to North Carolina to crash—I mean, attend—a family wedding in the scenic Bryson Bay area.
“They were having a delightful few days in the Smoky Mountains,” an insider spilled to Us Weekly. “Then, on Sunday, June 9, their conversation turned into a real tearjerker. Gary bolted in the car, leaving Amber, his phone, and quite possibly his common sense behind.”
Since Gary, 39, pulled his disappearing act, Amber has been in full-blown worry mode.
“He should’ve been home ages ago if he was driving back to Indiana. The house in Indiana is as empty as a politician’s promise,” the insider continued. “Amber is tearing her hair out. She’s got a search party of friends out looking for him.”
Amber officially reported Gary missing to the local police on Monday, June 10. “She has no clue where he’s gone. It’s like he fell off the edge of the Earth. He’s ghosted everyone, including his own family.”
The Bryson City Police Department jumped on Facebook to confirm that Gary was last spotted two days earlier in Bryson City. The authorities described him as a 6-foot-1 man, weighing 205 pounds, with brown eyes and a shiny bald head. He’s cruising around in a 2009 gray Nissan Rogue SUV with Indiana plates.
Gary’s Houdini act comes just days after the big news of his engagement to Amber.
