The pre-Met Gala chaos has officially begun—and the stars are out here sipping champagne and serving face like their lives depend on it.
Listen. If you’re not familiar with Moda Operandi, just imagine a really bougie online store where everything costs more than your rent. They threw a super glitzy cocktail party on Saturday night (May 3), at The Twenty Two Hotel in NYC—a place so posh, even the air smells like generational wealth.
Showing up and showing out were Sabrina Carpenter, fresh off her global takeover, Anne Hathaway, looking like she hasn’t aged since The Princess Diaries, and Laura Harrier, who came dressed like a goddess who just casually descended from Mount Olympus because she heard there were canapés.
The event was a big ol’ celebration for the Versace La Vacanza collection—La Vacanza meaning “the vacation,” which is also what I need after seeing these fits. The iconic Donatella Versace and Moda’s fashion queen bee Lauren Santo Domingo hosted the party, probably sipping on something sparkly while judging everyone’s outfits with loving but terrifying precision.
Also making fashionable cameos were:
- Ariana DeBose, probably not rapping this time (we hope)
- Dylan Mulvaney, serving effortless glam
- Adam Shulman, aka Anne Hathaway’s arm candy/husband
- Nicky Hilton Rothschild, still rich
- Delaney Rowe, internet comedy royalty
- Derek Blasberg, fashion’s favorite BFF
- Eva Chen, Insta’s stylish mama
- Jordan Roth, theater king and cape enthusiast
- Coco Schiffer, who sounds like she was born wearing couture
Donatella herself jumped on IG to bless our feeds with iconic photos and videos, captioning one pic like the proudest glam-mama ever:
“Don’t mind us. Lots to catch up on 💁♀️💋✨ My beautiful, powerful and talented girls! @sabrinacarpenter @annehathaway 💜”
Translation: They’re all booked, busy, and *fabulous.*
This was just one of MANY glittery pre-games ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, which lands on the first Monday in May like clockwork. This year’s theme?
“Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”
Yes, ma’am. Finally, menswear gets its moment in the spotlight—and not a moment too soon. Expect sharp suits, bold statements, and hopefully fewer sheer shirts pretending to be fashion.
So stay tuned. The red carpets are heating up, and the celebs are just getting warmed up. We’ll be watching, judging, and living for every dramatic entrance and outfit malfunction. 🎭👠
