Stop the presses! Hide your mediocre fashion attempts! And for the love of sequins, bow down because Rihanna did not come to play — she came to slay, sparkle, and oh yeah, casually reveal she’s pregnant again while looking like a celestial goddess at the 2025 Met Gala and the after party to end all after parties.
The post-Gala bash, hosted by the ever-stylish, always-vibing A$AP Rocky, went down at Jean’s in NYC on Monday night (May 5) — and baby, the vibes were impeccable. Rihanna floated into the room like the fashionable fertility fairy she is, bump out, glow on, and confidence turned up to Beyoncé-at-Coachella levels.
In case you missed it (how dare you), Rihanna and Rocky are cooking baby number three. Yes, THREE. At this point, we’re honestly not sure if she’s building a family or assembling a tiny, stylish Avengers team.
Who Else Was There, You Ask?
Oh, only everyone with a verified Instagram account and a wardrobe budget that could pay off your student loans.
- Jenna Ortega and Sabrina Carpenter were there giving “we’re the cool girls in study hall” vibes.
- Natasha Lyonne and Tracee Ellis Ross showed up looking like they invented charisma.
- Heidi Klum fluttered in with her usual energy of “I am the moment.”
- Spike Lee and his effortlessly suave self pulled up with wife Tonya Lewis Lee, probably dropping film critiques between cocktails.
- Justice Smith made an appearance, probably to remind everyone that yes, hot people can also be talented.
There were more celebs, more couture, and enough camera flashes to power a small city. Want to see all the drama and drip? The gallery’s got all the juicy pics. Trust me, it’s like a Vogue cover exploded and threw a disco.
The Theme: “Tailored for You” – aka Menswear But Make It Fashion
This year’s Met Gala theme was all about menswear and tailoring, which sounds boring until you remember this is the Met Gala and not your cousin’s prom. The theme was “Tailored for You,” spotlighting dapper, sharp looks and custom chaos inspired by the new exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Big ups to Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion for being the style bible behind it all — because nothing says “fashion nerd chic” like scholarly inspiration.
There were sharp suits, dramatic capes, gender-bending glam, and more brooches than a grandma convention.
But let’s be real. Rihanna — in full pregnancy glow mode — was the main event. The Met Gala just happened to be lucky enough to host her bump’s red carpet debut.
