Prince William decided to spice up his 42nd birthday by taking his two kids to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, because what better way to celebrate than with a dose of “Shake It Off”?
Turning 42 on Friday, June 21, the Prince of Wales dragged—I mean, joyfully escorted—Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, to Wembley Stadium for the concert, as a source spilled to Us Weekly.
The royal trio enjoyed the concert from a box, likely debating whether “Blank Space” or “Love Story” is the superior bop.
“Happy birthday, Papa, we all love you so much! Cx,” Kate scribbled over a photo of William with their three kids and posted on X. (Yes, X is Twitter now, keep up!)
In the pic, William is airborne, holding hands with his royal offspring, all of them seemingly doing their best impersonation of excited beach kangaroos.
Not wanting to be left out, King Charles III, William’s dad, chimed in with his own birthday wishes, sharing a picture from the archives.
“Happy Birthday to The Prince of Wales!” Charles, 75, declared on X, showcasing a black-and-white shot of himself with baby William, back when he still had hair and fewer royal responsibilities.
But wait, there’s more! The royal fandom was buzzing not just because of their surprise attendance at Swift’s show but also because Buckingham Palace decided to give a nod to the pop queen herself during the Changing of the Guard.
A Visit London TikTok video claimed that the band did a snazzy rendition of Swift’s “Shake It Off,” much to the delight of guests and visitors outside the palace gates. Because nothing screams “royal ceremony” like a catchy pop tune about ignoring haters!
