The 44-year-old reality TV queen, billionaire shapewear mogul, and professional Internet breaker is gearing up to take the stand this May, according to E! News.
Let’s rewind to the chaotic night in 2016 when Kim’s Parisian getaway turned into a scene straight out of a heist movie (but, like, the super terrifying kind, not the fun Ocean’s Eleven kind). Five masked men busted into her hotel room at the ultra-exclusive No Address Hotel (yes, it’s literally called that—rich people are wild) and robbed her at gunpoint, swiping over $10 million worth of jewelry, including a $4 million ring from then-hubby Kanye West. Oh, and they also tied her up and gagged her, which is possibly the rudest way to introduce yourself.
Fast-forward almost a decade (yes, a literal decade, because justice moves slower than Kris Jenner orchestrating a PR move), and the case is finally going to trial. Back in 2021, 12 people were charged after 17 were investigated, including—plot twist—the brother of Kim’s limo driver. Yes, even the chauffeur’s family was allegedly in on the mess. Talk about bad customer service.
Kim has spoken before about how terrifying that night was, sharing on True Hollywood Story in 2019 that she fully believed she was about to meet her fate in the most horrifying way possible. “You’re just kind of bracing yourself for the moment that they’re gonna shoot you and kill you,” she recalled.
