Guess who’s gracing the cover of W Magazine’s Pop issue? None other than the queen of quirk herself, Miley Cyrus!
In a shoot that could only be described as fabulously fierce and fabulously floral, Miley strutted her stuff for Alasdair McLellan’s lens and spilled the beans about collaborating with none other than Beyoncé on the hit ‘II Most Wanted.’ Yes, the dynamic duo delivered a top 10 banger that had everyone’s boots scootin’ and hearts bootin’!
But wait, there’s more! Miley didn’t just dish about the music, she gave us the lowdown on her A-list friendship with Queen Bey.
Here’s the scoop…
Talking about the magic behind ‘II Most Wanted,’ Miley shared:
“So, like, I wrote that jam two and a half years ago. My mom was always like, ‘OMG, I love that tune so much.’ So when Beyoncé slid into my DMs about doing some music, my brain was like, ‘Ding ding ding! This is perfect for us!’ This song is basically our friendship anthem. I told her, ‘We don’t need to go country; we are country. You’re Texas, I’m Tennessee – we’ve got this in our DNA.’ Writing a song for Beyoncé? Total bucket list moment!”
Miley didn’t stop there. She went on to give us a peek into her superstar BFF-ship with Beyoncé:
“Sometimes I forget to mention the casual stuff, like texting with Beyoncé. I mean, it’s adorable! Over the years, I’ve really embraced my inner hermit crab, keeping my life under wraps. And guess what? Beyoncé’s the same way. Our bond is like a cozy, secure blanket. The songwriting and the music? That’s just the tip of the iceberg of our friendship.”
