Michelle Williams has officially entered her “Fake It Till You Birth It” era. The 44-year-old Emmy-winning goddess of screen and seriousness was spotted in New York City on Sunday (May 11), strutting her stuff with a faux baby bump while filming her upcoming movie A Place in Hell.
Decked out in a chic navy blazer, matching dress, and heels that said “I might be pregnant, but make it fashion,” Michelle was seen outside a courthouse—probably about to serve some legal drama with a side of plot twists.
So what’s A Place in Hell all about, you ask? No, it’s not about the DMV or assembling IKEA furniture without an Allen wrench. It’s actually a thriller (ooooh) following two women who work at a high-profile criminal law firm. Think Suits, but way more stressful and with fewer slow-motion walk-and-talks. The movie is written and directed by Chloe Domont (yes, the same Chloe who gave us Fair Play, aka “that Netflix movie you watched and immediately had relationship trust issues about”). Also starring? The lovely and brooding Daisy Edgar-Jones, who brings big “emotionally complicated British person” energy to any role.
And just when you thought Michelle couldn’t slay harder, real-life plot twist: she and husband Thomas Kail recently welcomed a new baby via surrogate! That’s baby number three for the couple, and number four for Michelle, who is clearly collecting children like they’re limited-edition Funko Pops.
Whether she’s faking pregnancy on set or raising a whole adorable crew at home, Michelle stays booked, busy, and baby bumpin’—real or otherwise.
