Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are at it again—this time trading royal drama for a fiery cause (literally). The Duke of Sussex (yes, the red-haired one) and his fabulous Duchess have taken to their virtual soapbox (aka their website) to address the wildfires wreaking havoc in Southern California.
The fires, which have been more destructive than a group text gone wrong, have torched neighborhoods, businesses, and basically anything flammable in their path. Naturally, our favorite royal rebels couldn’t stay silent.
“With wildfires raging in Southern California, entire neighborhoods are being reduced to ash, and families are facing devastation,” the couple wrote in a heartfelt statement. (Translation: It’s a hot mess, and not in the fun way.)
But fear not—Harry and Meghan didn’t just drop the bad news and bounce. No, they came armed with solutions, offering links to organizations like the LA Fire Department Foundation, the American Red Cross, and Baby2Baby. Because nothing says, “We’ve got your back” like a donation button.
Oh, and in case you needed a royal nudge, the Sussexes also encouraged people to be good samaritans. “Open your home to loved ones and pets displaced by the fires,” they suggested. (Translation: If your Aunt Carol and her six cats need a place to crash, now’s the time to say yes.)
It’s nice to see Harry and Meghan using their platform for good, but let’s be real—if Prince Harry showed up with a fire hose, we’d all be calling 911 just to get a glimpse. Until then, donate, help a neighbor, or at least send good vibes. After all, it’s not every day you get advice from actual royalty on how to be a decent human.
