Guess who’s been on the ultimate two-year-long juice cleanse? None other than Lucy Hale, the 34-year-old Pretty Little Liars star! She recently shared her sobriety success with fans, and let me tell you, it’s more impressive than my attempt to give up chocolate for two days.
In a post on Instagram, Lucy proudly displayed her sobriety tracker, and I have to say, it looks way cooler than any fitness app I’ve ever seen. The caption read, “This continues to be the greatest gift Iโve given myself. I remain so grateful for another year of growth, growing pains, lessons, joys, and self realizations. To be able to show up as myself and to be greeted with such warmth and acceptance is something I do not take for granted โฅ๏ธ.โ
Hold on, did she just say “greatest gift”? I mean, I once got a singing fish as a gift, but Lucy clearly outdid me on the self-improvement front.
Lucy didn’t stop there, oh no! She continued her inspirational message, sharing, โThe interactions, conversations, and moments of vulnerability from people I know, people I used to know, from people Iโve hurt, from people whoโve hurt me, from strangers and even people on the internet have given my life so much color and meaning. Those experiences have been my favorite takeaway from this last year. To every person I have connected withโฆthank you from the bottom of my heart.โ
Wow, Lucy, spill that tea! Or should I say, spill that sparkling water? It’s a sober celebration, after all.
Lucy concluded her message with some golden advice: โLastly, if you are struggling please know you are not alone and that you do not have to trek this path alone. There is no right or wrong way to heal and it is deeply personal and unique to each of us. My only advice is to remain open-hearted, curious, and to find the people who see and support you. It does get better. Take it moment by moment โจ.โ
Cheers to Lucy Hale for making sobriety sound like the hippest party in town! So, if you’re thinking about jumping on the no-alcohol bandwagon, just know that Lucy’s got your back, and sobriety never looked so good.
