Liza Colón-Zayas, the Emmy-winning legend we all fell in love with as Tina Marrero in The Bear, is about to swing her way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe! 🕷️💥
Here’s the lowdown: On May 8, 2025 (mark your calendars, people), it was revealed that the 52-year-old powerhouse has officially joined the Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie—because, let’s face it, the MCU is basically just collecting incredible actors at this point like they’re rare Pokémon.
We don’t know exactly what role Liza will be playing yet. Maybe she’ll be a supervillain? A new ally? Or, heck, maybe she’s just the one who tells Spider-Man to stop webbing up the walls in the living room. Plot details are top-secret, so let’s just assume she’s going to be the one who steals the show. (She probably will.)
This is the fourth Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland, and we’re all pretty sure he’s been swinging around in New York for so long now that even the city’s pigeons are starting to recognize him. The full plot is under wraps too, but we do know Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are returning (cue the awwws), and Sadie Sink is joining the cast (wait, what?! Yes!). This movie’s stacking up to be a blockbuster with a capital B.
If you’re not ready for July 31, 2026, to roll around, we totally understand. But until then, keep your spidey senses tingling and your popcorn at the ready! 🕸️🍿
