Mike Heslin, the star of Special Ops: Lioness and Lifetime’s The Holiday Proposal Plan, has dramatically exited stage left.
On Friday (July 5), his hubby Scotty Dynamo broke the news on Instagram, announcing that Mike, 30, took an unexpected curtain call on Tuesday, July 2, due to an “unexpected cardiac event.”
Scotty’s post, sprinkled with nostalgic snapshots of Mike, read: “On July 2nd, my husband, best friend, and soulmate @mikeheslin passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week-long showdown in the hospital.” Imagine the plot twist: young, healthy guy stumps all the doctors. Real life is stranger than fiction.
Scotty kept the tear-jerker going: “Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented, and basically an angel with a SAG card. He was my rock during multiple cancer seasons. He was everyone’s go-to guy for good news, bad news, and breaking news. The sweetest, most caring dude on earth, he had this knack for making everyone he met a better person, like some kind of human improvement genie. Life’s hurdles? Pfft, child’s play with Mike around.”
Cue the emotional climax: “Michael, you were the best thing to ever happen to me. You are my universe, my everything. When you took your last breath, my heart exploded into a million tiny, sad emojis. I’d swap places with you in a heartbeat, but I’ll soldier on, one day at a time, like you always said. I’ll live every day in your honor.”
“And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more heart-wrenching, we were baby name brainstorming for our future rugrats. Mike always said he was destined for dad-hood, and I totally agree. World’s Best Dad material, right here. If I ever become a dad, I’m naming the kid after you, hoping he’ll grow up to be at least half the man you were.”
Scotty wrapped it up with a tear-stained bow: “You were the most generous and giving person. It brings me peace knowing that, thanks to your donor wish, four families now have a new lease on life. We were so close to your birthday and our one-year wedding anniversary, but I know you’re in a better place, probably adding some sparkle to heaven. Michael, as Shania Twain sings: I’ll love you ‘forever and for always.’”
A GoFundMe page has been launched to help Scotty and Mike’s family tackle those pesky medical bills. Stay tuned for more heartstrings being tugged.
