The internet has been blessed (you’re welcome) with the debut of Ballerina, starring none other than the incredibly talented and effortlessly cool Ana de Armas! Yes, you heard that right. She’s trading in her high heels for high-octane action as she pirouettes her way through the John Wick universe. Talk about a dangerous dance routine!
But wait! It gets better. Your favorite puppy-avenging, suit-wearing, bullet-dodging hero, Keanu Reeves, is BACK! That’s right, Neo himself makes a cameo towards the end of the trailer, and if that doesn’t get you to hit the replay button, I don’t know what will. The man could literally walk into frame and say “woof,” and we’d all collectively lose our minds.
🕵️♀️ Plot Twist Incoming:
So what’s Ballerina all about, besides flawless spins and fabulous assassinations? Well, the story takes place during the chaotic, dog-gone-wild events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (remember that one? Yeah, still recovering). Ana, or should I say, Eve Macarro, is diving headfirst into the Ruska Roma’s killer curriculum. Forget ballet class, she’s learning how to kill with elegance and grace. Tchaikovsky who?
✨ Star-studded Cast That’ll Blow Your Mind (and maybe a few kneecaps):
In addition to our graceful yet dangerous leading lady, we’ve got a squad that screams “legendary.” Anjelica Huston is back, bringing her “I could run the underworld with a glance” energy, alongside Gabriel Byrne, who probably delivers lines so smooth that they put butter to shame. Lance Reddick’s calm, “welcome to the Continental” voice returns, and Catalina Sandino Moreno is here to add another layer of intrigue. Oh, and did I mention Norman Reedus? Yep, Mr. “I survived a zombie apocalypse, what’s an assassin or two?” himself is in the mix. And of course, Ian McShane is there to remind us all that even in the midst of utter chaos, a suit and a snarky remark can save the day.
🗓️ Mark your calendars:
Prepare your popcorn (and possibly your bulletproof vest) because Ballerina is about to twirl into theaters on June 6 of next year! Yes, that’s plenty of time to practice your own assassin-level dance moves in the mirror. Or not. You do you.

Or as I like to call it, the sneak peek that’ll make you want to drop everything and learn ballet… assassin-style.
