Jelly Roll, the 39-year-old country crooner, just spilled the beans about his tattoos, and it’s a wild ride.
During his visit to SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday (June 12), Jelly Roll dropped some truth bombs about his ink that are equal parts hilarious and cringe-worthy.
“I have a tattoo on my arm that I traded for a quarter sack of bad weed,” Jelly Roll confessed. “And let me tell you, it looks exactly like a quarter sack of bad weed. It’s like someone doodled on me while high on said bad weed.”
“They look decent if you squint really hard or look at them from a distance,” he continued. “People are like, ‘Hey, Jelly, they’re not that bad.’ But then you zoom in, and it’s like, ‘Wow, these are terrible!’ It’s like a bad art gallery exploded on my skin. Picasso would roll in his grave.”
But wait, there’s more. Our man Jelly isn’t just a collector of regrettable art; he’s also a survivor of tattoo-induced plagues.
“I’ve gotten staph infections from bad tattoos. Yep, I’ve learned absolutely nothing,” Jelly Roll admitted with a chuckle. “Talk about being bull-headed. And guess what? I went back to the same guy who gave me the staph infection. What can I say? I’m a loyal customer… to terrible decisions.”
Jelly Roll’s tattoo saga is a rollercoaster of questionable trades, bad art, and infections. But hey, at least he’s got some entertaining stories to share – and probably a lifelong supply of antibiotics!
