Janet Jackson Speaks Out For The First Time About The Death Of Her Brother Tito Jackson

Buy Me A Coffee

Janet Jackson has finally spoken up after the heartbreaking news of her older brother Tito Jackson’s passing. If you thought the Jackson family was just a musical dynasty, think again! They’re also a family that knows how to share their emotions… and their hats!

Tito, the legendary member of The Jackson 5 (you know, the group that made “I Want You Back” a household jam), left us on September 15. And now, a full month later—because who doesn’t need a dramatic pause?—Janet, who’s still fabulous at 58, took to Instagram to pay tribute to her brother. “May you rest in eternal peace 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I miss you so much! ❤️” she said, probably while wearing some sparkly ensemble that would make even disco balls jealous.

She sweetened the post with a nostalgic black-and-white throwback photo of her as a kid, standing confidently in front of Tito, who was rocking a fedora and a shirt that looked like it had been designed by a tie-dye enthusiast. Fashion, even in mourning, right?

According to a press release from the Gallup Police Department (because why not add a touch of seriousness?), Tito suffered a “medical emergency” while out shopping in New Mexico. That’s right — Tito was just trying to grab a pair of socks and ended up needing an ambulance. Talk about a shopping trip gone wrong!

An investigation is still ongoing into the details of Tito’s untimely exit from this world, because apparently, shopping centers need a bit more drama than your average soap opera.

Tito leaves behind a trio of mini-Jacksons: his three children, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, plus nine grandkids, which basically means he was the patriarch of his own Jackson mini-army.

Our thoughts and condolences are with the entire Jackson clan during this time. Remember, keep those fedoras high and the music playing! 🎶
