Jamie Foxx is spilling the beans (or maybe just the Advil) about his recent health scare, and it’s a doozy!
Picture this: It’s April 2023, and the 56-year-old Oscar-winning actor is in the middle of shooting his latest Netflix film, *Back in Action*. Suddenly, production screeches to a halt faster than a teenager’s car when they see a cop. Why, you ask? Because Jamie Foxx had a medical emergency that landed him in the hospital. Now, Jamie’s a private guy, so he hasn’t given us the full scoop on what went down. But in July 2023, he decided to clear up some of the wilder rumors.
In a brand-new video posted on X (you know, the artist formerly known as Twitter), Jamie chats about his health scare while hanging out in Phoenix, Arizona.
“Look, April 11th last year. Bad headache,” Jamie tells a crowd gathered at an outdoor café. “I asked my boy for an Advil.” Simple enough, right? Wrong.
He snaps his fingers and says, “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything.” That’s not just a headache—that’s a full-on disappearing act!
“So they told me — I’m in Atlanta — so they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor,” Jamie explains, referring to his sister, Deidra Dixon, and his daughter, Corinne Foxx.
“They gave me a cortisone shot,” he adds, like he’s describing a routine oil change. According to the Mayo Clinic, cortisone injections “help relieve pain, swelling, and irritation in a specific area of your body.” Translation: Jamie got a shot to fix whatever was misbehaving.
But wait, there’s more! “The next doctor said something’s going on up there,” Jamie continues, pointing to his noggin. Cue dramatic music.
“I won’t say it on camera,” Jamie teases, as the crowd giggles like they’re at a stand-up show.
“But it was…” Jamie trails off and shrugs, leaving us hanging like the end of a season finale.
And that is the cliffhanger of Jamie Foxx’s health saga. Stay tuned for the next episode, where we hopefully find out what the heck happened to our favorite funnyman.
