Okay, so Glen Powell just decided he’s not hot enough already and now he’s throwing on a football helmet to ruin the rest of us. Hulu dropped the trailer for his brand-new comedy series *Chad Powers*, and it’s basically him reliving frat boy college glory while also trying to be the funniest QB alive.
The plot? Absolute chaos. Powell plays Russ Holliday, a cocky quarterback who torpedoes his career with some “bad behavior” (aka he got canceled on the field). Instead of crying about it, he slaps on a disguise and sneaks onto a failing Southern football team under the name “Chad Powers.” Yes, you read that right. Chad. Freaking. Powers.
This whole thing started as an Eli Manning sketch on ESPN+, and now it’s spiraled into a full-on show with Powell co-creating it alongside Michael Waldron (a guy who knows his way around insane storylines—he worked on *Loki*). Eli Manning himself is even producing, because apparently quarterbacks just can’t stop quarterbacking.
The cast is stacked with Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, and Steve Zahn, who all look ready to scream on the sidelines while Glen Powell rips off fake mustaches in the locker room.
*Chad Powers* officially crashes onto Hulu on September 30 with two episodes dropping day one. After that, you’re stuck waiting weekly every Tuesday like it’s 2011 TV again.
So yeah—get ready to scream “Think fast, run fast!” every time you walk into math class, because Chad freaking Powers is about to be your new personality.
