General Hospital is throwing down the gauntlet to defend their dazzling young star, Tabyana Ali!
On a wild Tuesday (June 18), the legendary ABC soap opera stood tall against an avalanche of ridiculous racist comments aimed at their 22-year-old dynamo, Tabyana, who brings Trina Robinson to life.
“General Hospital does not tolerate hatred or bigotry of any kind. Racism has no place in Port Charles. #GH is for everyone,” they proclaimed on Instagram, and I could almost hear the dramatic soap opera music swelling in the background.
Earlier this month, Tabyana herself sashayed onto the social media stage to address the nonsense.
“To anyone that hates me. That’s absolutely fine. I don’t know you and you don’t know me but regardless I’m sending you peace, safety, and prosperity,” she tweeted, probably with a zen-like calm that would make a monk jealous. “I also pray you touch some grass, see the sun, eat a delicious meal, and find something to do. Peace and love💕”
Mic drop. But she wasn’t done yet!
“If you see anybody sending hate, send a ‘🪞’ so they can reflect on themselves and start becoming the person the Lord intend!” Tabyana followed up, practically handing out life advice like candy at a parade.
“Okay, this is the last time I’m going to speak on this today but we cannot be feeding into people’s hate. We cannot be giving it back. We cannot stoop to rude/racist people’s level. It doesn’t help. We are fighting too many wars as it is,” she added, probably while sipping a cup of herbal tea and solving world peace.
“I believe we will have our world peace, but we got to find another way to fight,” she philosophized further. “I’ve realized ignoring doesn’t help but neither does giving the energy back. We’re going in circles and that doesn’t get us anywhere. Everybody might not agree with me but that’s okay. I just want to let ‘those’ people know, I see you.”
Tabyana wrapped it up with a bow: “And I’m sorry that this is the way you feel like you have to be seen. I’m sorry that life isn’t happening how you want. But if you found something you loved to do other than hurting people, you would never have the energy to say what you’ve been saying to people ONLINE!”
Tabyana Ali, taking the high road, planting gardens, and handing out mirrors, while General Hospital stands by her side like a soap opera superhero squad. Stay classy, Port Charles!
